Did you know that dogs need dental care too? Unfortunately oral hygiene for dogs is sometimes overlooked.
Plaque builds up on the teeth and turns into tartar or calculus. These areas grow bacteria that eat away at the gums causing gingivitis and periodontal disease.
Having a sore mouth makes eating uncomfortable and dental disease can even lead to heart, liver and kidney disease.
Keeping your pet's teeth clean is just as important to overall health as things like grooming, nutrition and exercise.
SIGNS OF DENTAL DISEASE
Prices for a full scale polish vary between $150-$200. The procedure usually takes about 1 hour.
We use a combination of Sonic scaling and hand scaling. We have found that some dogs do not like the sonic scaler because of its gentle vibration. In that case we revert to hand scaling to get the job done as gently as possible.
Because we do the scaling and polishing "in-house", you are not paying the additional costs that mobile services charge.
REGULAR PROFESSIONAL ANASTHESIA-FREE CLEANING TREATMENTS CAN BE AN AFFORDABLE AND A PROACTIVE WAY TO PREVENT DENTAL PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY BEGIN.
We want to help you keep your pet's pearly whites healthy!
Besides our grooming service we also offer an affordable above-the-gumline cleaning for your dog's teeth.
For each dog we use thoroughly sterilized professional dental tools.
We DO NOT use sedation and rely on calm handling techniques when scaling and polishing inside and outside your pet's teeth.
We do not work on teeth that need to be extracted or if there are issues below the gumline. These will have to be treated by your veterinarian.
